Do you want to learn how to take better pictures, produce stunning images, know your camera inside and out, improve your photography skills, get the most of your RAW files and expand your digital image processing abilities?

I can certainly help you to achieve these goals when you attend and participate in one of my Photography Workshops which can be scheduled to run anywhere in Ireland.

Whether it is gaining a better understanding of the various fundamentals of photography and photography basics, getting hands-on and practical experience outdoors with your camera or improving and expanding your post-processing skills and knowledge in the Digital Darkroom, I will be more than happy to share with you my first-hand knowledge, skills and experience that I have picked up and developed myself over the past few years while growing and progressing on my own personal photography journey.

One to One Training / Tuition

I offer bespoke and custom one to one training and tuition courses to both absolute beginners having just picked up your first camera and to the more seasoned veterans who may me just looking to brush up on certain skills.  Regardless of your current photography skill level, I can tailor make any 1-2-1 training course or workshop to suit and meet your needs.

Depending on your own needs, these courses can consist of any of the following subjects and focus areas:

  • Location scouting, pre-visualization & resource planning

  • Basic Camera Technique & Settings

  • Lenses & Filters

  • Photography Basics

  • Tripods, Image Stabilization & Remote Shutter Releases

  • Composition

  • Understanding Light & Metering Modes

  • Understanding Exposure (Aperture, Shutter Speed and ISO)

  • Switching from Automatic modes to Full Manual modes

  • Understanding White Balance & Colour Temperature

  • Focusing Techniques (Automatic & Manual, Hyperfocal Distance, etc..)

  • Long Exposures & Bulb Mode

All 1 to 1 courses can run for either a full day ( 8 hours+ ) or for a half day ( 4 hours ) and can be scheduled to suit your needs.

The costs for full day One to One courses are as follows:

  • 1-2-1 Workshop - Full Day = €365

  • 1-2-1 Workshop - Half Day = €200

Group Workshops

Throughout the year Group Workshops can be requested by members of Camera Clubs and these would typically be scheduled to run either on Saturdays or Sundays depending on workshop content and scheduling requirements. Running half-day shorter sessions on the appointed evening of your club meetings can also be arranged.

These Workshops would be limited to a minimum of 4 people and a maximum of 6 people to ensure that everyone gets an adequate amount of time and training on the day. Larger groups can be catered for but these will have additional costs, such as a second tutor.

Group Workshops for Camera Clubs avail of the below discounted rates:

  • Full Day = €100 per person (usually €125)

  • 1/2 Day = €50 (usually €75)
