Want to know how to create great subtle HDR images using Adobe Lightroom 6? Well then this maybe just the blog for you!
Apologies for the lack of recent content!
I have not posted some new processing Tips & Tricks content for a while now and that was mostly due to being busy with general daily life and other photographic projects.
However, one such project that was consuming my time was setting up and launching my own YouTube channel. Go take a look here and subscribe to the channel so that you can stay updated with all of my latest video tutorials and other photography related videos.
Also just a quick friendly reminder that you can follow my photographic work and latest posts over on my Facebook page so head on over there when you get a chance and give it a "Like" if you have not done so already. And remember to select "Get Notifications" so that Facebook will always show you my latest posts.
Ok...enough with the chit chat....and onto the good stuff!!!
How to create subtle HDR images in Lightroom 6
Adobe Lightroom 6 introduced a few new features which I found to be really cool and useful. One such feature was the Photomerge tool which allows you to not only create Panoramas in Lightroom but also HDR (high dynamic range) images. And the best thing about the Photomerge tool is that it affords you these great features which used to be confined to Photoshop only but also the Photomerge tools outputs the final image as a Digital Negative (.dng) file format which is pretty similar to a RAW file and so you retain maximum control and flexibility over the editing process of your image.
I have created a video tutorial which provides a demonstration of creating a subtle HDR image using the Photomerge to HDR functionality in Lightroom.
The video will be embedded towards the bottom of this blog post.
The video is roughly 10 minutes in length so you might want to put a little time aside in order to view it in all its glory.
Check out the video, make notes & learn from it and if you have any questions then you know where to find me!
Enjoy!!
